Description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Job Title: Product Manager – HCM, ELM
Organization Name: Oracle PeopleSoft HCM Development 
PeopleSoft HCM Development team is responsible for delivering new features, legislative updates, and supporting the existing customers on the newest release of PeopleSoft HCM.  This product manager position will focus on supporting key PeopleSoft HCM projects and will become a key resource to drive inbound activities.
Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, development, test, quality, and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and/or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups.  Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

 Job Responsibilities     

Drive Product Management work for key PeopleSoft HCM and ELM initiatives that streamline administrative processes and continue to modernize usability design:
             

Author high-quality user stories that support the main business objective(s) of the project including: use cases, wireframes/prototypes, and functional requirements.

Create sample data delivered in the product to showcase new feature functionality and support product strategy and executive management with sample data used for demoing new features.

Manage projects and produce multiple project deliverables simultaneously

Partner with product strategy to present the functional vision of the product to key customers or partners in various forums (conferences, focus groups, customer meetings)

Partner with the usability team to help define new user interface widgets, constructs, and design patterns.  Contribute to the authoring standards and guidelines documentation to ensure consistency across product lines

Support the development team and other extended teams in resolving the customer-reported issues.  Able to handle incidents escalated by customers on a priority basis.

Ability to multi-task on various assignments including new features, customer issues/escalations, and ad-hoc projects

Assist in producing high-quality user documentation from writing, editing, and reviewing

Qualifications/requirements:

BS or MS degree or MBA degree or equivalent experience in PeopleSoft HCM and/or ELM

8 years of Product Management or related experience.

Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM and/or ELM is highly desirable. 

4 plus years experience in designing new features, develop prototypes, conduct usability tests, and get approval from core design team

Good experience in writing Functional Design Documents and User Stories

Ability to communicate well and work with development organizations worldwide.  Be able to conduct the design meetings with extended team independently

Strong written and verbal English skills are a must.

Familiarity Agile methodology with knowledge of scrum and/or Kanban

End to end knowledge of software development cycle

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise
